In 2017, the textile machinery market situation generally picked up, many enterprises have full orders, and many enterprises have too many orders to be "too busy". However, while basically not worrying about orders, problems such as high production costs, "difficult to make money", product homogeneity, and lack of professional and technical personnel still exist.

Four characteristics show adjustment results

In 2017, the textile machinery market sales were generally good, with sales growth in almost all product categories.

Wang Shutian analysis believes that the operation of the textile machinery industry in 2017 reflects four main characteristics:

First, the industry economy is running smoothly and growing, with both quantity and quality improved. Due to the overall stable operation of the domestic textile industry and the recovery of international and domestic textile market demand, the economic operation indicators of China's textile machinery industry have been improved, and the import and export trade volume of textile machinery products has both achieved positive growth. The textile machinery industry has made great efforts to adjust and optimize the industrial structure, build a multi-point support system, and follow up the pace of the development of "Belt and Road Initiative". The operation in the first three quarters of 2017 was better than that in the same period in 2016. Economic indicators such as main business income and total profits have achieved double-digit growth compared with the same period last year.

Second, the restructuring of the industry has made significant progress. Wang Shutian said that this progress is reflected in many aspects. For example, at the level of national policy support, a number of textile machinery intelligent manufacturing projects have been supported, and results have been achieved in pilot demonstrations in some key areas. The structural adjustment of textile machinery products has achieved results, and the variety of products is more abundant. In the 1980 s and 1990 s, the output of cotton spinning equipment accounted for more than 40% of the textile machinery industry, and now it accounts for about 30%. This does not mean that the total amount of spinning equipment itself is decreasing, but that other sub-sectors are growing rapidly. For example, knitting machinery and nonwoven equipment are growing rapidly. Especially in the past, there has been a leap forward in the field of chemical fiber equipment and nonwoven equipment, which is relatively weak in the industry. In these areas, the timely introduction of new models has played a positive role in promoting the structural adjustment of the textile industry. At the same time, the structure of textile machinery products is more reasonable. In addition, many new products have been developed around energy saving, environmental protection and intelligence.

Third, textile machinery enterprises pay more attention to technological innovation and have made breakthroughs in many technical fields. In the 2017 China Textile Industry Federation Science and Technology Award recently issued, 4 textile machinery projects won the first prize. "To rely on products and technology to win the market" has become the consensus of textile machinery enterprises. Major enterprises in the textile machinery industry have accelerated the establishment of scientific and technological innovation mechanisms and increased investment in technological research and development. According to a survey conducted by the China Textile Machinery Association on the backbone enterprises with technical representation in the industry, the proportion of enterprise technology development investment in the company's sales in that year has been increasing. In addition, in terms of product development, a stable model of industry-university-research integration has been established.

Fourth, the level of enterprise management and industry self-discipline has been improved. Wang Shutian believes that in recent years, the operation of China's textile machinery enterprises has become more standardized and management has become more scientific. In July 2017, Fujian Ruineng Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, adding new members to the listed textile machinery companies. In October 2017, Guangdong Jinlu Technology Co., Ltd. successfully landed in the new third board capital market. Textile machinery companies are listed or listed on the New Third Board, all aspects of operation are more standardized, and the operation and management of enterprises are more open and transparent. After winning the "National Textile Industry Quality Award", Jinlun Needle Cloth (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. was awarded the "National Quality Award Encouragement Award" in 2017 ".

In addition, in the industry self-discipline, in view of the loom field is more serious low-price competition and credit sales phenomenon, the main domestic rapier loom manufacturers signed a self-discipline convention, enterprises basically in accordance with the self-discipline convention agreement. In the recent stage, the high-end rapier loom market has been improving, and the supply of products is in short supply. Most rapier loom companies have sold down payments and balance payback periods higher than the requirements of the self-discipline convention. The China Textile Machinery Association has received fewer complaints about unfair competition. Since then, the printing and dyeing machinery industry and the circular weft machinery industry have issued the "Industry self-discipline proposal" or "Industry self-discipline Convention", calling for healthy competition among enterprises and promoting the orderly and healthy development of the industry.

Keep up with market changes and develop high-quality products

Looking forward to 2018, Wang Shutian believes that although facing many positive factors, 2018 will be a year full of changes. In the face of high comprehensive production costs, the development of intelligent manufacturing, improve production efficiency is still the development trend. In addition, according to customer demand and market changes, it is also important to open up the international market and promote the export of textile machinery.

Serving the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry is a main line of the development of the textile machinery industry. Analyzing the future development of my country's textile industry, Wang Shutian believes that the current high prices of cotton and other textile raw materials, coupled with rising costs such as electricity and labor, domestic textile companies are facing the test of declining competitiveness. To cope with the continuous increase in production costs, the application of innovative equipment to reduce labor, the use of big data, Internet technology to improve the production efficiency of machinery and equipment is an obvious development trend. On the other hand, due to some rising cost factors that cannot be digested, the trend of the textile industry shifting from domestic to foreign countries and from the east to the central and western regions is also obvious.

Wang Shutian said: "The basic development ideas of the textile machinery industry have not changed. To adapt to the needs of the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry, textile machinery enterprises should continue to start from the aspects of intelligence, efficiency reduction, green environmental protection, etc., and work hard to promote equipment technology innovation." First of all, we should continue to develop complete sets of equipment for continuous production with high degree of intelligence, less employment, high reliability and high efficiency; secondly, indicators such as single machine energy consumption and production efficiency should be further improved; thirdly, we should improve the supply chain system and try to establish a more open mode in the form of alliance. In view of the transfer of the textile industry, textile machinery enterprises should also keep up with the market changes, pay attention to the trend of the transfer of the textile industry, and carry out the market layout as soon as possible. Wang Shutian introduced that in order to help textile machinery companies grasp the rare historical opportunities brought about by Xinjiang's textile development, in 2017, the China Textile Machinery Association organized the heads of 30 key domestic textile machinery companies to conduct a 4-day in-depth inspection in Xinjiang. In addition, nearly 100 Chinese textile machinery enterprises were organized to participate in the 2017 India International Textile Machinery Exhibition (ITMACH INDIA 2017) held in December, focusing on the latest research and development achievements, enhancing the image of China's textile machinery and helping enterprises to develop the Indian market. According to Wang Shutian, in order to continue to promote the technological progress of the industry, the China Textile Machinery Association will launch many new measures this year. For example, in view of the problems that the R & D capital investment, talent incentive mechanism, intellectual property protection and industry-university-research cooperation mechanism of textile machinery enterprises are not suitable for the development requirements of equipment manufacturing industry, and the research on basic technology is not paid enough attention to, a "Research and Innovation Zone" will be set up in 2018 China International Textile Machinery Exhibition and ITMA Asia Exhibition and subsidies for research and innovation zones will be provided to promote innovation achievements out of campuses and research institutions, really integrated into the industry and enterprises. According to reports, exhibitors in the research and innovation zone that meet the requirements can apply for subsidies for the 2018 exhibition research and innovation zone, with a maximum discount of 50%. In addition, the China Textile Machinery Association is also preparing to discuss and cooperate with the Japan Textile Machinery Association on innovation and intellectual property protection.

In promoting the global layout of textile machinery enterprises, the China Textile Machinery Association will continue to organize enterprises to participate in foreign exhibitions such as the Jakarta 2018 International Textile and Garment Machinery Exhibition held in Indonesia this year. On the basis of the experience of last year's exhibition, we choose a higher quality and better exhibition platform to help enterprises develop the international market more effectively.

In order to better serve the industry enterprises, the association has carried out its own organizational structure adjustment in the past two years, re-dividing the business departments into five industrial departments according to the process division of labor, including spinning machinery, weaving machinery, printing and dyeing machinery, knitting machinery, chemical fiber and industrial machinery, and successively established the knitting machinery branch, weaving machinery branch, spinning machinery branch, nonwoven machinery branch, printing and dyeing machinery branch and chemical fiber machinery branch.
